When you need to remember something, do you write it on paper Probably not.
You' re more likely to type (打字) on your phone, right
For years, new technology has been used for writing instead of writing by hand. In 2016, Finland even stopped teaching handwriting at schools and started teaching typing instead.
But is our move away from handwriting affecting(影响) our brains A new study said it might be. Researchers at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology asked 36 students to write down information either by hand or with a keyboard(键盘). They looked at the students’ brain activity and found that their brain connectivity(联结) patterns were much more elaborate(复杂的) when they were writing by hand than when they were using a keyboard. Past research has found that the connectivity is so important that it can help the memories and record new information.
The researchers said that seeing information and feeling the movement of the body might encourage brain connectivity and help us learn. One of the researchers, Audrey van der Meer, said that writing letters by hand also helps children learn the difference between very similar letters like“b” and“d”, because their bodies get to feel what it's like to make the shapes.
“It's important for students to keep learning how to write by hand. However, it's also important for them to know what kind of writing is best for what situation,” said Audrey. “There is some evidence (证据) that students learn more and remember better when taking class notes by hand, while using a computer with a keyboard may be more practical when they are doing long- form writing.”
23. Why did Finland stop teaching handwriting at schools in2016
A. Because teachers were not good at handwriting.
B. Because new technology was used much more widely.
C. Because students thought handwriting was a waste of time.
24. What can we learn from the new study
A. How handwriting could help students.
B. How well students could use a keyboard.
C. Why brain connectivity was important.
25. In what situation does Audrey think typing is more practical for students
A. When they write long articles.
B. When they take notes in class.
C When the memorize something.
26. What does the passage mainly tell us
A. Typing affects students’ brain connectivity a lot.
B. Teaching students to use new technology is important.
C. Handwriting may improve students' brain connectivity.

On May 24, 2021, 46-year-old Zhang Hong reached the top of Qomolangma, which made him the first blind person from Asia to conquer (征服) the world’s highest mountain. Later, Zhang became a blind masseur(按摩师) and in 2012 he moved to Tibet.
In 2015, by accident, he heard of the blind American mountaineer Weihenmayer, who climbed Qomolangma. This gave him the idea of giving it a try. He then started to climb the mountains together with his guide. He did a lot of training, including rock climbing and walking on snow and ice.
Zhang also met many other mountaineers from all over the world. They all encouraged him even though they spoke different languages. Zhang could feel their warmth through hugs or pats on his shoulder. Zhang said the climbing of Qomolangma taught him many things, including how to trust people.
“I can't see the world, but I want the world to see me,” Zhang said. “I've got so much energy from my family and these climbers. Now I'd like to share that energy with others and encourage other disabled people.”
