As is known to all, living in space can be very different from that on the Earth. One of the most important differences is that there is no gravity in space. So many people think living things can't develop well in space. ▲
A team of scientists sent mouse embryos(胚胎) to space. Then astronauts let them grow on the space station for four days. Guess what happened The mouse embryos successfully developed just like they do on the Earth! The different environment didn't prevent the development of mouse embryos.
The scientists soon shared their study online in Science. They clearly pointed out that gravity might not have as much effect on the development of these mouse embryos as they had previously (先前) thought. When the mouse embryos were sent back to the Earth, the scientists also checked their DNAs and genes(基因). They found that they were still the same. However, they still needed to do more studies to make sure everything was okay with the embryos.
This surprising research is the first to suggest that mouse embryos can successfully develop in the special environment of space. The team's next plan is to place these embryos into mice to see if they can give birth. If that goes well, it may not be impossible for us to see space babies in the future!

Typhoons and hurricanes are both the same kind of strong wind. They happen in different places and are called differently. It is called a hurricane in the US and a typhoon in Asian countries, such as China and Japan.
The naming of typhoons began in the early 20th century. An Australian forecaster named typhoons for the first time with a man's name. Most typhoons now use the names of animals, plants, food, etc., and some names are adjectives or taken from beautiful legends (传说), such as Yutu and Wukong.
The typhoon was named by 14 countries, including China, Vietnam, Japan, etc. There are a total of 140 nouns in the typhoon name list, and these names have been used repeatedly(重复地). When typhoons cause especially serious disasters (灾难), 14 member countries can apply for (申请) the name to be removed from the list. For example, China's Typhoon Longwang in 2005 and Typhoon Haiyan in 2013 were officially removed because of the great disasters they brought. By doing so, it is hoped that there will no longer be serious disasters.
In China, typhoons with a wind force stronger than Grade 8 will be numbered according to their happening time each year. This is what we heard or saw from radios and televisions,“The No.3 Typhoon this year”.

So the whales may be able to communicate with each other across oceans.
However, blue whales face a serious problem. In 1930, almost 30,000 blue whales were killed. In 1960, the International Whaling Commission began to ban (禁止) the killing of blue whales. In 2000, it was found that there were fewer than 10,000 left.
