On a cold evening in January, little Philip went upstairs and found the door closed. Outside the door of his mother’s bedroom, he stopped and listened. Although no one told him not to go in, he had a feeling that it would be wrong to do so. He was a little afraid with his heart beating fast, but at the same time, something told him to open the door. He opened it quietly and slowly. He stood for some time before going in. He was not afraid now, but he felt strange (奇怪的).Then, the little boy closed the door behind him.
▲ Looking around it, the little boy went in the room gently and slowly. On the dressing table, Philip saw Mrs. Carey’s brushes and the hand mirror. There was a photo of him and also a photo of his father on the wall. He had often been in the room when his mother was not in it, but now it seemed different. There was something different in the chairs. The bed was made just like someone would sleep in it that night.
Philip opened a large cupboard (壁柜) full of dresses and then he went in. He took as many of them as he could in his arms and put his face in them. Then he opened the drawers (抽屉)filled with his mother’s things, and looked at them. Their smell was fresh and warm. The difference of the room left it, and it seemed to him that his mother had just gone out for a walk. She would be in any minute and would come upstairs to have a small cup of tea with him. And it seemed that he felt her kiss on his face. He just couldn’t believe it! He kept telling himself it was not true that he would never see her again. Feeling hopeless, he looked around the room again. However, it was true!
Finally, he climbed up on the bed and put his head on the pillow (枕头). He lay there warmly and quietly, full of sadness.

Latest studies have shown that 81% of middle school students multitask. This means they do more than one activity at a time while doing their homework. It can be as quick as checking a WeChat text while eating. Or it can be as long as chatting(聊天) on the phone during the whole homework time. In our daily life, many of us multitask without even knowing it. It can make us feel that we can finish a lot of things with less time. But some say this may not be true.

B.根据短文内容,按要求回答问题。(共5小题;每小题2分,计10分)
My ‘m’ and ‘n’ always end up looking a bit messy. The rest of my letters are kind of stiff (僵直的), too. And to make matters worse, I can’t seem to remember how to write a capital ‘Z’ in cursive(草书) at all.
I am a member of Generation Y (those born between 1981 and 1996). And now there is a group coming after me. The children feel less need to get their handwriting better. They text-message almost as much as they talk.
We are seeing the death of handwriting. Many people are worried about this. They say it is because computers are used more widely. But experts say that’s not the point. Technological developments are only part of the reason. Kids haven’t learned to write neatly because no one pushes them to do so.
In the United States, schoolchildren learn print(印刷体) in kindergarten and cursive in third grade. But most of them don’t master(掌握) either one. My cursive teacher Linda Garcia has now been teaching for 42 years. She says children are just as excited to learn cursive as ever. However, once they leave her classroom, it’s a different story. She doesn’t know any teachers in the upper grades who stress the importance of handwriting. She often sees her former(之前的) students going back to untidy handwriting.
Garcia points out that schools today are all teaching to the tests. If something isn’t on a test, it seems there is no need to do it. Over these years, daily handwriting lessons have been cut down from 30 minutes to 15. “Reading is tested, but handwriting isn’t, so it’s not as important,” Garcia adds. “In other words, schools don’t care how a child holds his or her pencil as long as he or she can read.”
Handwriting is becoming a lost art, but is that really a bad thing I am never worried about my handwriting. After all, we are living in the age of social networks. Most people write very little by hand. Perhaps this is the trade-off. We have to give up the writing art for efficiency(效率).
81. How many problems does the writer have with his handwriting
82. Why do the kids of Generation Z feel less need to get their handwriting better
83.What causes(造成) the death of handwriting, according to experts
84. According to Garcia, why don’t schools care much about handwriting (No more than 6 words)
85. The writer thinks it’s to worry about handwriting. (One word only)
