Jiaozi, Chinese dumplings, is a kind of traditional Chinese food. It has a history of about 2,600 years. Chinese people like eating dumplings for their delicious taste and special meanings.
There are many kinds of dumplings, such as pork and cabbage dumplings, beef and carrot dumplings, mutton and onion dumplings and so on. So jiaozi is popular(受欢迎的) with almost all Chinese people, and even people around the world.

Start of Winter(立冬) is one of the 24 solar terms (节气) in China. It means winter, the last season of a year, will come.
In the old days, many shops didn't sell vegetables in winter. So on Start of Winter, people stored (储存) lots of vegetables in a cellar. It's a room under a house and people often store things in it. They also made tomatoes into tomato sauce (酱). They could use it when they ate noodles in winter.
