One day, my daughter, a mentally disabled child, pretended(假装) to be sick and didn't want to go to school, where a competition was going to be held. Although the competition was difficult for her to finish, I encouraged her to face it and told her that I would go with her.
Everything went well until it was time for the bag race. Each child had to climb into a bag from the standing area, jump to the finish line, return and climb out of the bag.
I watched Jenny standing near the end of her line of players. She looked very nervous. It was Jenny's turn to begin the race, but a change took place in her team. The tallest boy in the line stood behind Jenny and put his hands on her waist(腰) . Two other boys stood in front of her. The moment the player in front of Jenny walked out of the bag, those two boys took the bag at once and opened it while the tallest boy lifted Jenny and put her into it. A girl in front of Jenny took her hand and supported her for a short time until Jenny achieved her balance. Then she jumped off, smiling with pride.
Among the cheers of teachers, schoolmates and parents, I cried and walked out of the crowds quietly. I thanked the warm and friendly people in life and her little friends. They made it possible for my disabled daughter to be like her classmates.

When we have small cuts in the skin (皮肤), something strange may happen. The cuts are able to heal (痊愈) themselves in a couple of days. How does this happen Read on, and you will find out the secret.
Every living thing on the earth is made up of cells (细胞). Cells grow and make new cells. Most cells are very tiny and we can’t see them with our eyes. Different cells have different uses. Our skin cells are special ones. The cells on the surface (表面) of our skin are old dead cells. New skin cells are right under the surface. These are the living skin cells. They do work for our bodies. They help protect our bodies and heal cuts.
Our bodies make skin cells all the time. As the old cells fall off, new cells grow in the same place. Each person makes about 18kg of skin cells during his or her life. Surface skin cells fit together closely with no gaps between them. When you cut or burn yourself, you can harm (伤害) your skin cells. A small cut will not do much harm. Your skin will quickly heal itself by making new skin cells. How do skin cells work First, the cells near the cut get bigger and move into the gap. Next, these bigger cells meet in the middle. They form a new layer (层) of skin cells. Finally, new cells will grow until the gap disappears completely. In this way, your skin can grow and get well itself.
How amazing the tiny cells are! Next time you have a cut, don’t worry about it. Maybe in a few days, you will be surprised to find it healed.

Surfing the Internet can help open students' eyes and get more knowledge. As a teacher, I encourage my students to use the Internet. In class those students who surf the Internet understand lessons better than the others. Besides, people can use the Internet to write letters or stories and send emails. Many students communicate with their friends online. You can also make friends by chatting on QQ. It is cheaper than calling somebody far away and it's also much quicker. Nearly one third of young people surf the Internet for fun. They like to listen to music, watch films, and go to their favorite stars' websites.
