Most of us think elephants and dogs are very smart animals in the world. Now there is one more animal that can be added to the list—sheep. Scientists say that sheep can be trained to recognize(识别)human faces.
Before testing, scientists guide the sheep to look at pictures of the four famous people. The sheep went into a farm with two computer screens. Each screen showed a human face. One screen showed a famous person and the other showed a random(随机的)person. The sheep could walk towards the screen with the famous face.
After discovering sheep’s ability to recognize famous people, scientists wanted to see whether they could
correctly recognize the same people from different ways. The sheep are still able to recognize them, though they were a bit slower to recognize the pictures than before.
Finally, the researchers wondered if the sheep could recognize their trainers from photos. Their trainers were shown on screens along with many strange faces. Then, the sheep found them successfully. The results show the face-recognition abilities of sheep are similar to those of monkeys, elephants and humans.
Face recognition is a difficult process for most animals. But sheep have big brains. When they see other sheep, they use this process to recognize one another.

Have you ever thought about the possibility that your simple T-shirt could cool you down by up to 5℃ on hot summer days Thanks to a recent invention, it will probably come true. The amazing invention helps people feel comfortable and fresh in the outdoors on hot days.
Its inventors, engineers Ma Yaoguang and Tao Guangming in China, had a completely fantastic way. They made a special textile. It can take in body beat and send out its energy into space. This textile cools both the objects and the area around them through radiative cooling (辐射冷却). This means that even when it looks like you are
wearing a common shirt, you are in fact wearing something that works like a mirror.
Research at Stanford University had already succeeded in cooling the wearers by 3℃, but this invention was not good enough. So researchers still need to test the new invention to decide how well it works while the wearers are standing or walking, and not directly facing the sky, like in their research.
Inventors Ma and Tao are now looking for textile factories and clothing brands that are interested in using their textile. They predict that the new material will increase clothing costs by just 10 percent. “We can make it with mass production which means everybody can get a T-shirt and the cost is almost the same as their old ones.” Tao said.
So if you are a sportsman or simply someone that has to deal with the really high temperature, be patient because your days of feeling hot may be coming to an end!
67 .How does the special T-shirt work

B .The new T-shirt will be at a high price.
C .No factories will be interested in their textile.
71 .Who will most probably buy the new T-shirt

With a history of more than 1,000 years, tie-dye(扎染)is a very old way of dyeing clothes in China, most popular in Yunnan. During the Tang and Song dynasties, people gave tie-dyed clothes to the emperors as gifts. In 2006, the tie-dye technique was added to China’s national intangible cultural heritage(非物质文化遗产)list. Anning in Yunnan is known for tie-dye.
Yang Cheng, 52, is the inheritor(传承人)of tie-dye in Anning. He learned the skills from his mother in the 1980s. And he has passed it down to his daughter.
“Tie-dye is worthy of the efforts of generations(代)of people,” Yang said. Yang has mastered all the old skills of tie-dye. To tie-dye, you first need to use threads(线)to tie your cloth together. Then you put the cloth into the dye. As the cloth is folded and dyed, some parts become dark blue, while other parts have a brighter color. When you unfold the cloth, you’ll see beautiful patterns.
At the same time, Yang has studied tie-dye in other countries, such as Japan, India and France. He also tries to make some creative designs. Now, Yang teaches tie-dye in schools, communities and companies. More than 100,000 people have learned from him.
Some might worry that tie-dye will be replaced by machinery dyeing. But Yang is confident. “At the end of the day, machines can’t replace our creative hands.” Yang said.

【例文】
Recently, a netizen used AI to generate an avatar (生成头像) of her grandmother who has died and they had a conversation. It leads to a heated discussion online.
Some people agree on it. Sarah thinks it is touching because it feels like the dead family members are still there. Kate thinks it is great for those who can't see their lost family for the last time. However, some people disagree on it. Jerry suggests people to look forward. Lisa doesn't want the image made by AI to become an AI pet.
In my opinion, generating an avatar of the dead by AI has advantages and disadvantages. It reminds us of the family around us and encourage us to love them more. But we can't depend on this unreal image. Instead, we should live a stronger life.
