三．重点结构
1. provide为动词，意为：提供，供给。常和介词with和for搭配使用，
provide sb. with sth.== provide sth for sb.为某人提供某物 provide for sb.养活某人
拓展：supply指定期“供应”，强调替代或补充所需物品。
常用于supply sb.with sth.或supply sth. to sb. eg: Cows supply us with milk.
Offer 表示“愿意，给予常用于offer sb.sth./offer sth. to sb.提供给某人某物
或offer to do sth.愿意做某事，其后不能接宾语从句
2.fight for意为：为（事业，自由，真理权利）而斗争/战斗
fight against…后接名词意为：同…做斗争
fight with 只接表示人和国家的名词，表示：与…一起对抗
fight over意为“为…而争吵/争斗.
3.mean做动词，意为“意思是”表示认得言论或行为的某一标志或词语的意思所指。
如：What does this word mean /What’s the meaning of the world (mean的名词形式为meaning.) 注意：mean to do sth “意欲，打算做某事” mean doing sth “意味着做某事”
4. rather than 与would连用，构成would rather do than do 宁愿…而不愿
prefer to do A rather than do B. 宁愿做A而不愿做B

6.agree on sth.意为“就某事取得一致意见“。常用词组还有：agree with sb” 同意某人”

语法：并列句
(一)表示并列关系的连词（词组）And, both…and, neither…nor, not only…but also. and意为“和，又，而且” Look, They are talking and laughing happily.
both.. and 意为“…和…斗，不但…而且当连接主语时，谓语动词用复数。
Eg:He can both sing and dance.他不但会唱歌而且会跳舞。
not only … but also 就近一致原则。neither…nor..既不…也不就近一致原则
(二)表转折关系的连词 1.but但是，I want to help you but I don’t know how to do.
2.while意为“然而“ I was very busy, while my brother had nothing to do.
(三)表示因果的连词So ，后面接句子表示结果，意为”因而，所以”不能与because连用。 I was tired, so I had to go to bed earlier last night.
(四)表示选择关系的并列连词（词组）Or, either…or
Eg. You can either stay at home or go shopping on Sunday.
