One day, Brad’s mom said to him, “You should make a budget(预算).”

“Sounds great,”said Brad. “Will you help me make one ”
That night, Brad sat down with his parents. They divided the money into several parts for snacks, toys, movies and books. There were also two special parts, one for helping others and the other for Brad’s savings(存款).

The other part is pep talks Martin invited kids to record these pep talks for the telephone hotline. In its first several weeks, the hotline got millions of calls.
“People need something to make them feel good in these difficult times,” Darin Juric told Time for Kids. He is a student who took part in the project. Martin agreed. “It really does just take a few words of kindness to spread (传播) joy around the world,” she said.

“we didn’t pay for the food and accommodation (住宿)” 是“It was a wonderful holiday”的原因, 因此, 这是一个原因状语从句。故填because。
故填In。
故填to work。
故填a。
68. organized【点拨】由“It was really. . .”
There is a club called Helping Hands Club in our school. It was set up to help those in need in March, 2023.
We collect clothes and books for poor students once a month. Twice a month, we visit the old people’s home. We share jokes and stories with the old. We also cook nice food for them. Moreover, we help them clean their houses.
We are proud to help others. Our parents support us and they think the world needs more love. I hope more students can join our club and give help to others.
文中正确使用了set up, in need, share sth. with sb. , cook for sb. , be proud to do sth. Our parents support us and they think the world needs more love. 体现了人们的认可; 最后用I hope more students . . .
