(2022秋·浙江绍兴·九年级统考期末)①Kids spend a lot of time on homework. Some people think that too much homework is necessary and helpful, because homework helps students practice what is taught in class. Is that really right
②Statistics show that 33% of 14-year-old students report spending 2 hours or more on homework daily. Isn’t that too much As a 9th grade student, I have thousands of assignments(布置) every week. As a result. I’m busy with homework every day. More often than not, I have to stay up until midnight, doing my homework. Certainly, this is harmful to my health as a developing teenager. Too much homework results in less sleep, more stress and having bad influence on my school performance because everyone knows that no good sleep leads to no good grades.
③So why do teenagers have so much homework One of the answers is that teachers often have children cover materials at home by themselves that they do not discuss during school time at all. The teacher’s reason is that there aren’t enough hours in the day and he/she wants students to learn more. But being taught how to do something by a piece of paper just isn’t the same as being taught by an actual human being. The teacher can explain things in a different way if a student doesn’t understand how to do something, but homework can’t! When it comes to get knowledge, it is teachers rather than homework that counts.
④Statistics even show that kids who take part in an extra curricular(课外的) activity have less stress. The only problem is that kids have less time for such extra curricular activities. Homework takes away most of our free time to spend with friends and family.
⑤ Too much homework can cause stress depression(抑郁), lower grades, and less time to do extra curricular activities or hang out with friends, so teachers, could you please not get so excited about homework next time
21.The writer explain there’s too much homework for students by ________ in Paragraph 2.
A.showing a story B.having a speech C.giving an example D.making a survey
22.In the opinion of the writer, ________ make(s) students learn better.
A.family B.homework C.textbooks D.teachers
23.The writer implies(暗示) in the passage that ________.
A.students have less time to study at school
B.hanging out with friends leads to bad grades
C.teachers would like to give students more homework
D.it’s boring for students to have extra curricular activities
24.Which of the following best shows the structure of the passage
A. B. C. D.
根据“As a 9th grade student, I have thousands of assignments (布置) every week. As a result. I’m busy with homework every day...”
根据“The teacher can explain things in a different way if a student doesn’t understand how to do something, but homework can’t! When it comes to get knowledge, it is teachers rather than homework that counts.”
根据“So why do teenagers have so much homework One of the answers is that teachers often have children cover materials at home by themselves that they do not discuss during school time at all. The teacher’s reason is that there aren’t enough hours in the day and he/she wants students to learn more.

My dear boys and girls, good morning. Today I’m going to talk to you about my tips about how to become stronger.
As you start a new term, you might feel a bit worried or nervous. These feelings aren’t fun to have. But would your favorite superhero have these same feelings
Behavioral scientists have been studying what they call the “Spider-man Effect(效应)” in children. They’ve found that if kids imagine themselves a strong figure — such as a superhero like Spider-man — they won’t feel nervous and will be able to focus on their work.
For example, if you feel nervous during an exam, try to imagine that you are Spider-man. You may find that you can “remove” the stress from this situation and feel more confident. This can help you fight off bad feelings and focus on your task, just like a superhero would. Pretending to be powerful makes us feel powerful, and that will have an influence on how we act in real life.
▲ . Anyone you admire can inspire(鼓舞)you to get through hard times, or remind you of how you should act in certain situations. Movie stars, famous painters, even our own parents—anyone can be our “Spider-man”.
For example, when it comes to how I communicate with others, I like to look toward Mister Rogers for inspiration. He was a TV host who was always kind and thoughtful when dealing with other people. I try to act the same way toward other people as much as I can.
46.What kind of writing is the passage
A.A diary. B.A story. C.A speech. D.A letter.
47.What does the third paragraph explain
A.Why “Spider-man Effect” is popular. B.How “Spider-man Effect” works on kids.
C.Who can have the “Spider-man Effect”. D.When”Spider man Effect”was found.
48.Which of the following sentences can be put in the “ ▲ “
A.I don’t like the idea of “Spider-man Effect”.
B.It is not easy to imagine a superhero around you.
C.But don’t always believe in superheroes in your mind.
D.But your favorite superhero can help solve the problems.
49.Why does the writer admire Mister Rogers
A.Because he acted as Spider-man in TV.
B.Because he is a strong and powerful host.
C.Because he once helped the writer in trouble.
D.Because he influenced the writer how to communicate.

He was a TV host who was always kind and thoughtful when dealing with other people. I try to act the same way toward other people as much as I can“可知,作者崇拜罗杰斯先生是因为他影响了作者和人交流的方式。故选D。

If you were in Xi’an in Shannxi Province on April 18, 2020, you might feel like you were back in ancient China. There were catwalk shows and traditional music concerts held by people wearing traditional Chinese clothing, or huafu. Huafu fans from across the country got together there to take pictures and post them online for a huafu photo competition, which will last for a month. People were doing these to celebrate a new national holiday—China Huafu Day. It wants to encourage young Chinese to be proud of traditional clothing, as well as classic Chinese culture.
The government chose the third day of the third month of the Chinese lunar calendar as China Huafu Day. This day is said to be the birthday of the Yellow Emperor. This year, the China Huafu Day will fall on April 3.

Many young people wear hanfu to look like characters from comics and games. This really brings us back to the ancient fashion.

(2022秋·浙江杭州·九年级校考期中)How could I have never noticed Every Christmas my mother enjoyed creating special memories and traditions for her family. Mum loved Christmas—the shopping, baking, music, gifts... Her love for Christmas always encouraged my brother, sister and me to experience the joy and wonder of Christmas.
On Christmas Eve, Mum would put all our stockings under the beautiful Christmas tree. Later, in the middle of the night, Santa Claus filled the stockings with toys, oranges, apples and colourful candies. The next morning we excitedly opened our gifts, leaving our stockings.
In my twentieth, I went Christmas shopping with a friend. She began looking for a small gift to place in her mother’s stocking.
“You prepare a Christmas stocking for your mother ” I asked.
“Yes,” she replied. “Every year I fill a stocking with a gift and have it waiting for my mum on Christmas morning. I couldn’t bear (忍受) not having a Christmas stocking for my mother, especially since she prepares one for everyone else.”
That was when I felt that my face turned red. I realised my mother hadn’t had a Christmas stocking for as long as I could remember. And, even worse, no one had noticed her stocking was missing.
My sister and I decided to start a tradition of our own that year. Excited, we bought candies, socks and an orange. We placed them in a small, red stocking. On Christmas morning, we secretly put it under the tree while Mum was busy preparing breakfast.
We couldn’t wait to see Mum’s reaction (反应). She passed out everyone’s stockings and then noticed an extra one.
She picked up the stocking and read the note, “To Betty Ann—Love Santa.”
Surprise crossed her face. “ ▲ ”
We smiled and nodded.
“It’s been so long... since I last had a Christmas stocking,” she said. “Thank you.” We had never thought a stocking would bring tears to her eyes.
Though I don’t remember what gifts I received that year, I’ve never forgotten how excited my mother was to receive a small, red stocking. Seeing her reaction was the most valuable gift of all. And once again, she taught me about the joy and wonder of Christmas—it’s better to give than to receive.
65.What does the underlined word “tradition” refer to
A.Giving gifts to others. B.Buying gifts for ourselves.
C.Preparing a gift for our mother. D.Finding the joy and wonder of Christmas.
66.Which of the following sentences can be put in the “ ▲ ”
A.What’s in it B.Is this stocking yours
C.Who lost the stocking D.Is this stocking really for me
67.Which of the following can be the BEST title for the passage

分析“Excited, we bought candies, socks and an orange. We placed them in a small, red stocking. On Christmas morning, we secretly put it under the tree while Mum was busy preparing breakfast.”
根据“To Betty Ann—Love Santa.”和“We smiled and nodded.”

①According to a new study, the Amazon rainforest (亚马逊雨林) may become grassland in a few years.
②The Amazon is the world’s biggest rainforest. Climate change and human activities make it “sick”. Usually, the rainforest can fix itself. But now, it feels too “tired” to fix. Many trees die and the rainforest may turn into a hot, dry grassland.
Why is the Amazon “sick”
③The Amazon is one of the world’s wettest places. But since 2005, three droughts have hit the rainforest. They were caused by climate change. The trees don’t have enough water to grow. What’s worse, as they become dry, they can easily catch fire.
④On top of this, people cut down trees for wood. They burn the forest to make farmland. And they clear trees to find minerals in the Amazon. All these activities have caused about 17 percent of the rainforest to disappear.
What will happen if we lose it
⑤The Amazon is like the lungs (肺) of our planet. The rich plants there take carbon dioxide (CO2) out of the air and make oxygen (O2). They make more than 20 percent of the planet’s oxygen. If the Amazon”dies”, there will be more CO2 and our Earth will become even hotter.
⑥The Amazon is also home to over 3 million animals and plants. Over three quarters of them can’t live anywhere else. They would very likely just disappear.
