I'm glad to introduce my invention, a Smart Recycling Bin, designed to guide users to sort waste
correctly and inspire eco-friendly habits.
Equipped with a camera and AI, it identifies trash types(plastic, paper, glass) and lights up the
matching bin. A voice reminder teaches recycling rules in fun ways. This invention solves two issues:
messy public bins and low recycling rates. By reducing landfill waste, it protects soil and water. For
schools and parks, it turns recycling into an educational game, raising eco-awareness.
Lightweight and solar-powered, it requires no extra energy. Small actions, like dropping a bottle into
the right bin, can lead to cleaner cities and healthier communities. Let's make recycling effortless for
everyone!

Paragraph 1:
With a call that came from heart, I waved to her to get into my car. Ignoring the loud horns
behind me, I moved my car onto the icy side of the road to make space. The mother hurried in, holding
her shaking child. " It' ll be okay!" I said, driving carefully but quickly. Traffic lights passed by as
Ifocused on the slippery road. The child’ s quiet cries filled the car, making my heart heavy. When we
finally stopped at the hospital entrance, the mother held my hand, tears in her eyes as she thanked
me.Watching her run inside, I took a deep breath—— late for work, but feeling strangely relieved.
Paragraph 2:
The clock read 9:37 when I finally reached the office. My manager stood stiffly by my
desk, frowning. " What happened " he asked coldly. Nervously, I told him about the morning. His
serious face softened when I described the sick child and the worried mother. After a pause, he suddenly
said," You' ve honored what truly matters this morning. " His cold look disappeared, replaced by a quiet
nod.He didn't mention the pay cut. Back at my desk, coworkers smiled kindly. Outside, sunlight now
melted the ice——a small but hopeful warmth. Some decisions, even if they cost you something, make
things clear on the coldest mornings.
① 加速行驶: accelerate cautiously/ gun the engine within safe limits
② 婉拒酬谢: politely decline the reward/ turn down compensation 情绪类
①如释重负: with palpable relief/ weight lifted off one's shoulders
② 百感交集: with mixed emotions/ torn between conflicting feelings
"I pressed the gas pedal as hard as safety allowed, getting that mother and child to the hospital in one
piece. "
" when winter mornings pinch with particular bitterness, I think of the day when time froze and hearts
wavered, mine chose to beat warm"
A 篇
If you’ re aged 13 to 25 and living inthe U. S., you can earn scholarships by
根据文章第一段第二句“no essays, GPA requirements, or recommendati
scholarships and even if you haven't selected a college”故 C 错误。
thing homepage or the action pages fordetails on current scholarship opportunities”, 线上申请, 故 D 错误。
根据第三段第二句“Visit the DoSomething homepage or the actionpages for details on
根据最后一段“Subscribe to our monthly newsletter, ‘Pays To
Do Good’ , to see each month’ s scholarship and other awardees.”可知, 订阅“Pays To Do Good”
But the hearing aids suggest how unusual thisclass is.
Mirabella, a 20-storey‘university retirement community’ on ASL'scampus, is home to ove
r 300 retirees.
根据第三段中的描述:“In their dorms, four restaurants serve better food than colle
ge meals and facilities include an art studio, a pool and gym, and a games room.Only the second floor
feels institutional, with a memory-care centre and rooms for residents who need round-the-clock attenti
on.”
根据最后一段中的描述:““The charity is the icing on the cake,’ he saysof the p
otential that residents will include universities in their wills.”
Senior Living: Back to
School”
根据第一段中的“Yet, Barbara Mazzolai, an Italian roboticist, notes thatthe field o
f robotics is far less keen to investigate another major category of living things——plants, which may o
riginate from a misconception that plants are incapable of movement orperception.”
根据第三段中的“FiloBot mimics these behaviors using sensors in itshead. It can r
apidly grow by 3D-printing its own body and can twist around supports bygrowing in a winding patter
n.”以及“ they also use information from light and gravityreceptors distributed along each shoot.”
根据最后一段中的“ it is not the only plantlike robot the team is cultivating. Si
nce 2012, Dr Mazzolai has been developing“plantoids” based on roots to analyze chemicals or locate
water sources. she hopes that such projects will inspire other
roboticists to take their cues from botany.” So we can develop completely newtechnologies and
artificial solutions.
因此,选项 A“Draw inspiration from”是最佳解释。
根据全文内容以及最后一段中的 “ she hopes that such projects willinspire other
roboticists to take their cues from botany... So we can develop completely newtechnologies and artificial
solutions.”

选项 A(抽象概念)
与原文矛盾; C(机械模仿) 和 D(技术障碍)为干扰项。
根据第四段提到“AI could soon generate realistic fake videos, floodingthe web with
选项 A(制作成本)和 D(编辑标准化)未提及;B(依赖感召力)虽与“视觉魅力奖励”相关,但非
选项 A(文本主导)与视频崛起矛盾;B(AI 消除风险)未被支持。

“be themed on”是固定搭配,意为“以 为主题”,此处“the ChinaPavilion”与“theme”是被动关系,
主语是“The theme of high-quality and green d
evelopment of tourism in China”,
59. that/ which 这里是一个定语从句, 先行词是“sustainable growth”, 指物, 在从句“not only enha
nces travelers’ experience but also protects the environmentand respects local cultures”中作主语, 所
61. becoming 分析句子结构,前面“China has developed the world's largest domestictourism market”
6 2. i s i n v o l v e d / h a s b e e n i n v o l v e d 此句中“ a n d”连接三个并列的谓语动词 , 前面两
“is involved”。
可用 has been involved。
63. participation/ participating 本空位于介词短语 " look forward to" 之后, 且被物主代词" your"修饰,
64. with“interaction with sb.”
65. but 根据语境“not slogans... real efforts”可知, 这里是“not... but...”

Good evening, everyone. I feel truly honored to be the first to share at today's book club meeting. I'd
like to tell you the story of Jimmy Wales. He worked as a teacher before earning a degree that allowed him to
enter the world of finance and got his first financial job in1994.(18) He used the money he earned there to
fund a number of companies, including a website called Nupedia, which ran from 2000 to 2003.(19) Although
short-lived, this site served as a road map for Wales' biggest success— Wikipedia. This free and open-content
site grew rapidly with help from the growing popularity of the Internet. Within five years of its launch(推出),
Wales found himself on Time magazine's list of 100most influential people in the world. He dreamed of
everyone in the world having a way to get human knowledge.(20) In the following decade, he delivered
speeches on the future of the Internet. He moved to London in2012. At one point, he acted as an adviser to
the UK government on how to make academic research available for free. So we should pay our respects to him!
